Using real-life examples, this presentation will cover the three keys to success: (1) demonstrating the value of sustainability to your organization, (2) articulating a unique and straightforward viewpoint on sustainability that is sharable and inspires support both within and outside your organization, and (3) choosing sustainability initiatives and communication strategies to achieve and promote progress in credible ways (no greenwashing!).

Nancy Himmelfarb (himmelfarb.com) is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) expert who helps companies leverage CSR as a differentiator, while minimizing risks and enhancing credibility. She specializes in strategy development, stakeholder engagement, corporate reporting and other CSR communications.

Nancy applies her proprietary 3Vs of Sustainability Communication methodology to develop CSR policies and messages across diverse industries and for all types of organizations, including for-profit companies, not-for-profit organizations, government agencies, academic institutions and community groups. She also built legal departments for three different businesses and worked as a corporate attorney for a top-tier law firm.

Nancy brings a unique combination of business, legal and sustainability experience, backed by degrees from Stanford University and UCLA School of Law, a graduate certificate in sustainability management from University of Chicago, and the LEED Green Associate credential.
