Welcome! Mindful Meditation meets twice monthly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month.

Please Note: If there is a wait list, please contact Organizers Mitch or Donna to let them know you're interested in coming. Often we have last-minute cancellations!

Mindful meditation is practiced sitting with eyes closed, on a cushion or on a chair, with the back straight. Attention is put on the movement of the abdomen when breathing in and out, or on the awareness of the breath as it goes in and out the nostrils. As thoughts come up, one returns to focusing on breathing.

The group's format may change from session to session as its co-created by your participation; however, we always have a guided meditation, a focus on the breath (Anapanasati-Mindfulness of the breath), and we will begin with a short yogic stretch to align the mind and body for the practice.

We use a crystal singing bowl tuned to the heart chakra. Although it's soothing to most, occasionally a practitioner may find it distracting; this can actually be incorporated into one's meditation practice, so while we attempt to use it quietly, it will be used.

The intention of this practice is to regularly meet and engage our natural abilities to be restorative and relaxed. New and advanced meditators are welcome.

We share a common desire to experience well-being through focusing our attention on the felt sense of the emotions, thoughts and perceptions as they arise in the present moment.

We supply chairs, blankets, and cushions/floor jacks (for those who choose to sit on the floor), but you are welcome to bring your own meditation bench, sitting pillow (zafu cushion).

An optional love donation (Dna virtue of generosity) is appreciated but not required. It helps us pay for our beautiful space, amenities and utilities.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions via meetup email.

Namaste

Organizers Mitch & Donna

Mitch:

"I discovered meditation several years ago and through it alleviated chronic anxiety, insomnia, high blood pressure, situational work stress and relationship issues. It may be the single most profound change in my life; hard to know as it has led to many other changes/journeys. I'm a committed practitioner of
meditation/husband/father/business professional."

Donna has been practicing meditation for several years; it has brought balance and center to her life. She is Licensed Massage Therapist with a wealth of Eastern & alternative healing training gained over several decades.

Together we humbly offer to share our insights.

How to find us:Parking is available in the lot west of the office park. Proceed up the center pathway until reaching Suite 107.
