This will be a new hike. Mimbres River Trail is a 14.6 mile trail that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and backpacking. Here's the plan:
We will park at the trail head and follow the trail through the junipers over to where it switches back slightly down into the canyon. We can keep going to the Forks of the Mimbres, or we can hike as far as the group wants to go before heading back.
Bring plenty of water, snacks and wear comfortable hiking boots. A raincoat is suggested in case of rain since weather is often unpredictable in the mountains.
Please compensate the driver for gas, wear and tear of the vehicle.
