Midnight peak should be a good season opener. We might go to Midday peak as well if we feel like. Well-behaved and fit dogs are welcome to join. No barky-yappy dogs and no guests allowed!

We move at a steady moderate pace, with only a few small hydration breaks, plus a break at the summit. This trip is not for you if you like taking a lot of breaks. More information on Midnight peak:

Note: If conditions are not favorable or weather looks like crap, I'll either change the objective or cancel the event. But do check the forecast yourself before going and make sure you know what youre in for.

Group size: 4-6
Suggested Gas contribution: $10 per person

Gear (Mandatory):

Microspikes (might or might not need them, but good to have)

Hiking Boots

Food / Snacks.

Water (2 liters minimum)

Proper hiking clothes (no cotton/jeans)

Personal First Aid Kit

Shell jacket

Toque, Mitts/Gloves.

Recommended: Sweater/down jacket/ fleece jacket, Sunglasses, bear spray, hiking poles, ice axe, ski goggles, balaclava, Emergency bivy sack/Blanket, hand/toe warmers, GPS device.

BE PREPARED. ABSOLUTELY NO COTTON! Weather can change quickly -- rain, snow, wind, cold, or warm.

NOTE: What we are doing out here is dangerous, by registering for this hike you signify that you are aware of the risks associated with nature hiking, snowshoeing, scrambling, wildlife encounters, as well as carpooling. You are aware of your physical limits, and how they relate to these activities. You also signify that you take full responsibility for your own safety. The organizer is not a trained guide, just a volunteer who likes the outdoors. Please do your own preparation for the trip and have all the gear. Be prepared for rain, snow, wind, sun, thunderstorm, bears, cougars, etc. While we will do our best to ensure that everyone returns safe and sound, you will not hold the organizer of the event or the organizers of this group responsible for any harm or liability that might occur as a result of your participation.
