TYPE: W & T | PACE: Exploratory | TERRAIN: Sidewalks, gravel paths, park trails | DISTANCE:Approx. 2 mi

Walk Description: A great way for body, mind and soul to start the day! This meditative walk in community is fairly slow, relaxed, mindful and mostly in silence. We start in the West Wash Park neighborhood, loop through the park with a couple of stops for reflections and end at the starting point. Watch what happens when you pay attention to the rhythm of walking!

Schedule, Planning, and Nearby Transit:We will meet at 7:30 am in front of Wash Perk coffee shop at E. Ohio and S. Emerson. If you are going to get coffee or use the restroom, please plan to show up well before 7:30 am. The coffee shop opens at 7:00 am. After a brief introduction and answering of any questions, we leave NO LATER than 7:40 am. We should be done walking no later than 8:45 am. You can of course leave early if you need to. There is plenty of neighborhood parking and the 12 bus drops off on Downing just north of E. Ohio.

Trip Notes:

No dogs, please.
Accessibility: If youre on a wheelchair, keep in mind the sidewalks are cracked and bumpy.
Wear/Bring: comfortable shoes & clothing; water, sunglasses/sunscreen.
Restroomsare available at the coffee shop and in the park (porta-potties). Please plan on using restrooms before we leave. We will stop and go a few times but we are generally moving at a relaxed pace for the entirety of the route.

Cancellation Policy: We only cancel in extreme weather conditions on our path, such as hail or lightening. Text the walk leader if the weather is questionable.

Welcome Waivers: Please fill out the online Welcome Waiver or download, print, sign and turn in a hard copy if this will be your first Walk2Connect walking experience in 2017.
