Puget Sound PMI is proud to announce a new workshop on Leading with Cultural Intelligence:
As globalization continues to gain speed and strength, the 'one-size-fits-all' approach to leadership is no longer sufficient to effectively engage increasingly diverse, multicultural, and international project stakeholders. More than ever before, the capacity to manage and lever cultural differences is becoming an increasingly important skill for individuals at all levels of the organization and especially for project managers and team leaders.
Drawing from the growing body of research in cognitive, social, and cultural neuroscience, the workshop will present a framework for understanding how culture shapes the brain and the core cultural dimensions that drive thoughts, emotions, and behavior in global, virtual, and culturally diverse project environment.
Understanding these dimensions will help you make the right choice for how to approach:
You will come away with a greater understanding of the challenges of leading and working in culturally diverse teams and how to prevent cultural misunderstanding from turning into dignity violations that erode trust and undermine performance of your culturally diverse team.
