PACE: 3.0 MPH

We will be taking the Larch Mountain Trail to the Franklin Ridge Trail. From there, we'll take the Oneonta Trail to Larch Mountain Road and up to Sherrard Point. On the return trip, we'll take the express route straight down the Larch Mountain Trail, toward Wahkeena Falls and Back to Multnomah Falls, thus avoiding the gridlock heading down toward Multnomah Falls.

NO DOGS, please.

Bepreparedwith extra layers in case of weather change, good hiking boots,food/water & your camera!Lunchwill be at Sherrard Point at the top of Larch Mountain.

We combine enjoyment of the hike with respect for everyones time. We will hike at a steady pace and just keep going! If you are near the lead you will end up waiting at trail junctions. If you are in the back you will be asked to do your best to keep up with the group and at waiting points the group may move on as soon as you are within sight. Our pace averages about 3.0 MPH. We do get separated from time to time as everyone hikes their own pace but please bear in mind that you will need to be able to stay within a reasonable distance from the group. Make sure this is something you are prepared for and would enjoy.

Directions:I-84, Exit 28, turn left along the Columbia River Highway to Multnomah Falls Lodge. Meet us in front of the restrooms,.

For a hike of this length, footwear and sturdy pack (with ample water) are important - make sure you wear comfortable hiking boots with good rugged soles that are well broken in.

Carpooling:Meet atGateway Transit Center, departing promptly at 7:00AM. Meet in Southeast corner of parking garage.

For those driving from the westside, if you'd like to meet me at Sunset Transit Center on my way to Gateway, please let me know.

* Please limit perfumes, colognes and strong scents and have exact change.

* Come prepared to drive. To make it easier at the carpool meeting point - comment as to whether you can drive and how many you can take, or if you need a ride.
