Hike Description: This is a strenuous hike, just when you think it is over...it is not. We will begin the hike by heading up the south side of the Piedra Lisa Trail and then head down the north side of it. About half way down the trail, we will take the del Agua Canyon trail down to FR445 and loop back to the beginning of the north side of the Piedra Lisa trailhead. Once we reach the end of the trail (Placitas side), we will have lunch/snack. Then we will turn around and hike back up the Piedra Lisa trail and over. The hike will be approximately 1,900ft. of elevation gain TWICE = 3,800ft total elevation gain. Challenging hike! 12+ miles with 3,800ft of elevation gain.
