EVERYONE STARTS ON THE WAITLIST, EVERYONE MUST ANSWER THE QUESTION. No Beginners allowed. Anyone afraid of heights and exposure, stay by the pool, don't sign up for this.

Name: Exploring for new routes for the intermediate skills scramblers
Total distance: 2.5 miles round trip more or less

Pace: 3 of 5

Total time to complete: 4 hours, probably, if you have a tight schedule, dont count on it.
Elevation Change: 1400 feet
max, though up/down a lot on the way.
Difficulty: 3.4 to 3.8 of 5

Scrambling: All of it, some is steep, exposed, tiny holds, awkward chutes.

How easy to follow? Nearly impossible unless you already know the area very, very well.
Dogs/kids: NO and NO
Bathrooms: None (except bushes and rocks)
Donations: In no sense required, but always appreciated

Face it folks, its hot out in July, we need to have a group who can keep going without much in the way of rest stops. I need to be pretty sure everyone on the event can keep up.

SHOES AND PACKS: ANYONE NEW: if you are poorly equipped you cannot go. Approach shoes and a pack with straps that stay up and dont bind your arms and that keep the pack in place. Water-bladder or a hands-free secure carrier for one water bottle at a time in front so you can get a drink on the move without impairing your movement and concentration. Anyone I know well who is established in the scrambling community here and/or with recent, good, verifiable stats, you already know what to wear and carry, youve hiked and climbed in summertime Las Vegas for some time.
