Thank you so much for taking the next step in helping in relief work for people that really need it!
The bus will be leaving from Gateway North (location) at 4AM sharp! I know this is early yall but I know that I have also seen a lot of you still out and about in Austin around 3AM so lets think about how wonderful of a day it will be instead of the early wakeup time :) It is about a 4 hour drive so we will be arriving right around 8am and will work until around 5PM. We will all close together with some prayer (obviously not mandatory) and then we will try to be on the road by 6PM. Lunch is included and we will figure out something for dinner.
When we get to Beaumont we will be greeted by Operation Blessing staff. We will have a quick orentation and then be divided into smaller groups and then head to different houses who have applied for help. It has been more than 2 months since the flood and many of these houses haven't had anything done to them. There will defintiely be a bunch of mold but they do provide masks for us. We will be doing hard labor that might include ripping out walls, floors, throwing out furniture, cleaning, painting, spraying for mold, dry walling, ect. If you have never done anythign like this... its OK! There will definitely be something for everyone to do!
Please fill out the registration and include your email and I will also be sending a registration form for you to fill out so that we can have everything done before we get to Beaumont.
If you will be coming I am asking for a $30 donation which will help with bus costs and food costs. This is NOT mandatory. Here is the page for that:
