This two-part Intro to HTML/CSS course runs on Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th from 11am to 4pm. Each day includes a 30-minute lunch break. 

Want to learn how to build your own website? Already have your own site and want to have more control over it? Interested in learning to program but want to start small? If you answered yes to any of the questions above, this course is for you!

This beginner course will guide you through the basics of HTML and CSS. By the end of the class, you will have developed a first version of your own website.

Tech Requirements: Your laptop. Note: A netbook or tablet is NOT a substitute.

A modern browser with either Chrome and the "Web Developer" extension or Firefox and Firebug installed.

A text editor. We recommend Sublime Text 2 (It's free and available for both Mac and PC).

About the teacher:



Lisa Yoder works as a front-end developer at Urban Outfitters and a freelance web developer. She teaches WordPress classes at Scribe Video Center and volunteers as a teaching assistant with Girl Develop It. When she’s not working, Lisa is probably reading, writing, traveling, taking photos, or holding a cat.
