We meet at the High Point State Park Visitor's Center @ 1480 Route 23 Sussex, NJ 07461 Their # (973) 875-4800. Here we will determine cars necessary to shuttle to the beginning of the hike, a short distance away. Others can leave cars. This is an approximately 8 mile hike of 4.5 hours along a scenic section of the Appalachian Trail. Overall elevation throughout the hike is 1800 ft.We start at the state owned Lusscroft Farm and use their trail system to access the AT. The Lusscroft Farm website:

Weather:Light rain okay. Heavy rain cancels. Check this site for updates.
Equipment:Sturdy hiking shoes. Appropriate weather gear. Water (at least 2 liters). Snacks/lunch & hiking poles (if needed). Camera. Good conversation. Positive and environmentally friendly attitude. Leaders cell # emailed day of hike to members who are attending.
