We will start hiking at 9:30 am. This is approximately a 5-hour hike. After the hike,we will stop at Bullwheel Bar & Grill - Yelp.

Bring your own lunch, swimwear, water shoes, lots of water, hiking shoes, sunscreen, hat, snacks, electrolytes, and trekking poles would be nice if you have them.

The organizers and event hosts of this group are not professional guides. The sole function of the event host is only to organize the event. Each person who submits a "Yes" RSVP for themselves and their guests to participate within any type of event is responsible for their own and their guests safety. By signing-up to attend any event organized by this group, you are acknowledging that you are aware of any risks, dangers and/or hazards associated with any group activity and freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers and hazards, as well as agree to completely release and discharge the organizers of this group from any and all liability and hold them harmless as a result of your participation within the groups activities. If you decide to break away from the group for any reason, you are responsible for your own safe return.
The itinerary is tentative and subject to change for reasons beyond control.
If you cannot attend, you may find someone to fill your spot. I will assist in finding someone to replace you, but I make no guarantees. Unfortunately, I cannot offer refunds if unsuccessful. Again, you may find someone to buy your seat or you can donate it if you wish.
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the trip for any circumstance beyond control. Such reasons include, but are not limited to illness and in the event that sufficient seats are not reserved. We will only cancel due to weather if the conditions seem unsafe. In such events, you will get fully reimbursed or you can apply your contribution to a future trip.
Medical Considerations -
If you have any medical conditions, it is important to let your trip leader know. If at any time during the trip you become physically incapable of continuing and we sense that it is jeopardizing the groups safety, we have the right to restrict certain trails and activities.
The organizers are not medics. Therefore, we have no responsibility regarding medical advice. Paramedics and hospital facilities are often unavailable; medical attention may be reduced to the parks facilities and staff. The Meeup's leaders assume no liability regarding provision of medical care.
Assumption of Risk -
While this trip is structured for individuals to go at their own pace if they wish to do so, we still encourage everyone to be in good physical condition. This event includes vigorous activities and it is your responsibility to be well prepared. That includes bringing any items you deem necessary, such as a knee brace for example.
Member Obligations -
By participating in this Meetup, you assume certain obligations. It is your responsibility to:
Understand the conditions of the trip and its level of activity
Be prepared for the trip both physically and mentally
Familiarize yourself with the trip itinerary
Members are responsible for staying on schedule and checking in on time
Bring appropriate gear and clothing
Secure your valuables
Follow considerate standards of personal hygiene
Follow considerate social behavior with other group members
Act in an appropriate and courteous manner
Be mindful of others in the vehicle and do not eat anything with strong odors
Respect the areas we visit by using environmentally safe products, stay on established routes, and DO NOT LITTER
In consideration of being permitted to participate with Hiking in San Diego (Meetup), I voluntarily agree to release, waive, and agree not to sue any of the group organizers for any and all claims, damages, costs, attorney'sfees,or causes of action which I have or may have in the future, as a result of damages or injuries relating to the participation or travel to and from the activity, arising out of or incident to any negligent act or omission by the organizer and its guides. I knowingly and voluntarily give up valuable legal rights, including the right to sue. I understand and agree that there exist risks of harm associated with participating in the trip which may give rise to bodily injury and/or property damage. These risks include, but are not limited to, equipment failure, inadequate safety equipment, those hazards associated with strenuous activity, the unavailability of adequate medical care, exposure and emergencies related to heat or cold weather, personal injury including serious physical and/or mental trauma or death, exhaustion, dehydration, broken bones, concussion, torn appendages, dislocations, bruises, cuts, infections, and any other injuries that may result in physical contact with others. I further understand and agree that there may be risks and dangers not known or reasonably foreseeable at this time. I understand that this trip will consist of transportation by van and mild to strenuous hiking. I understand and agree that included within the scope of this waiver and release is any cause of action, arising from the performance of or the failure to perform maintenance, inspection, supervision or control of the trip, or the failure to warn of existing dangerous conditions not known to or reasonably discovered by the Meetup organizers, including all acts of negligence of the organizer.
