Use these driving directions to get to the trailhead:
Join us on this epic 18-mile round trip journey to the highest peak in Southern California, Mt. San Gorgonio (Old Grayback). This is an all day, strenuous hike. If you are doing Whitney with me on September 26, this hike is a "must do." It will be a good gauge of how well you will do on Whitney.
Because of the length of this hike, we will start early with a 6:15 meeting time. We will be on the trail by no later than 6:30. Make sure you bring enough water (at least 5 liters) and food to last the entire day. Don't forget to bring your headlamp/flashlight and extra batteries just in case.
GROUP SIZE IS LIMITEDTO JUST 12 HIKERS ON THIS TRAIL!
***YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE AN ADVENTURE PASS FOR PARKING AT THIS TRAILHEAD. YOU CAN BUY ONE AT REI OR BIG 5 PRIOR TO THE DAY OF THE HIKE. THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT THE TRAILHEAD. IF YOU HAVE AN ANNUAL NATIONAL PARKS PASS, YOU CAN USE THAT INSTEAD.***
