DRIVING DIRECTIONS: Follow Sir Francis Drake Blvd into Pt. Reyes. Continue Driving on Sir Francis Drake Blvd until you reach Mt. Vision Road. Go LEFT and follow Mt. Vision Road until the end to where it meets the Bucklin Trail head. Look for a white Scion with a Tahoe Blue sticker.

DIFFICULTY: Moderately Strenuous (varied terrain, mud, sand, distance)

DISTANCE 12-15 miles Depending on how far we walk along beach or if we vary route back

ELEVATION CHANGE: 1800 feet WHAT TO BRING: hiking shoes, hat, poles? hydrating snacks, lunch, 100 oz of H2o

DESCRIPTION: This will be a scenic and varied hike (we will end up at Limantour Spit extending 1-2 miles walking on sand and Limantour Beach to have lunch.
The Limantour Spit extends 2 miles from Limantour Beach and offers an amazing serene experience surrounded by water on this sandy dune peninsula. At the end of the Spit you can enjoy the views of Drake's Head, Sunset Beach, Drake's Beach and the greater Drake's Estero.

ROUTE: Start at end of Mt. Vision Rd and Hike Bucklin trail to Muddy Hollow Rd to Right on Limantour Spit trail to sand dunes and lunch! Hike along Limantour as far as you like.
Return Muddy Hollow to Bay View trail to Drakes View to Inverness Ridge trail and back to end of Mt. Vision Rd.
