Trail: East Bank Baker Lake
Total Length: 9 miles plus
Elevation change: 500' plus
Difficulty: Easy
Pace: Social (1.5 miles/hour uphill and 2.5 miles/hour downhill), group stays together

Take I-5 north to Mount Vernon. Take exit 230, signed for Hwy 20 Burlington/Anacortes. Stay in the right lane on the exit ramp and head east on 20. Stay on 20 as it winds through Burlington and Sedro-Woolley. In 23 miles, turn left onto Baker Lake Road. There will be a small brown sign for Baker Lake just before the turnoff. Follow Baker Lake Road (FS 11) all the way to the end, in 26.5 miles. The road is paved until the last 6 miles. There is a large parking lot with a vault toilet. On your way up Highway 20, keep a lookout for the elk herd that likes to hang out in the fields.

07:00am - Ash Way P&R
08:00am - Starbucks, Burlington - Coffee/Breakfast
10:00am - Start hiking
12:00pm - Snack spot
02:00pm - Back to Trailhead
03:30pm - Lunch/Dinner in Burlington
05:30pm - Ash Way P&R

Important:
1. You and you alone are completely responsible for your safety.
2. Northwest Forest Pass is required (one per car).
3. NO dogs on this hike please.
4. Wear sturdy boots, have layers of clothing, poles (optional), bring plenty of water, snack, packed lunch, and anything else of 10 essentials (http://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/ten-essentials.html).
5. Please bring $15 for your driver and a bag for your muddy boots if you plan on being a rider.
6. Update your RSVP in advance if your plans change. Two no-shows and/or late cancellation and you won't be able to participate in my future events.
7. Finally, please answer the question about carpool and add yourself to the waiting list. I will move you to the main list once we have enough drivers. We will respect the Northwest Forest Trails rule of 12 people per group. THANKS!
