We hiked Douglas Provincial Park last year covering 17+ kms: in October. In the snow. Here's hoping that this time around the weather will be warmer! We'll aim to hike around 15 kms.
I'm still figuring out which trails we'll do, but I think we'll do the sand dunes trail, a loop that covers around 7kms (excluding exploring the dunes). Then we'll take a lunch break, and look for another 8-10 kms to cover. More details to come.
Dress appropriately: the morning may be cool, and (hopefully) the afternoon will be hot. Bring plenty of water and a snack.
