Trailhead: Take I-210 east to highway 330 North to route 18 and follow it to Big Bear Dam, bear to the left and continue along the North Shore on highway 38. Continue to Fawnskin and travel approximately 3 miles further east on Highway 38 to the Discovery Center located at 40971 North Shore Drive. We will hike back to the trailhead

Please allow at least 1 hour 50 minutes from Pasadena or about 1 hour 30 minutes from Glendora. There are some carpool spaces available from Pasadena and Glendora - let us know if you are interested in riding or being a carpool driver. The current drivers are planning to stop for a bite to eat in Fawnskin after the hike at the North Shore Cafe..

This hike is posted on two Meetup Groups - please RSVP on only one if you are a member of both.

What to bring: Ample water, sunscreen, hat, water, insect repellent, snacks and ample water. (Yes - I said Ample Water twice - make that three times).
