Join South Valley Running Club for the 2017 edition of the Mt. Madonna Challenge. Entering its 42nd year, this long held race through scenic courses of Oak, Manzanita, Eucalyptus, and Redwood trees will give you breathtaking views and provide an ample challenge for all levels of runners!
2017 will feature new distances as we switch to a more traditional 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon format. All runners will receive first class support with Aid Stations and volunteers along the course. The first 150 registered participants will be guaranteed a unisex t-shirt and custom finishers medal.
Overall distance winners will receive custom awards!
START TIMES- Half Marathon starts at 8am. 5k and 10k races start at 8:30am
All courses will be marked with Orange Ribbons, signage, and arrows on the trail to indicate you are going the correct way. If you run past a Blue Ribbon you are going the wrong way. All participants can receive a copy of their appropriate course map on race day.
AID STATIONS- Half- 2.6, 5.5, 8.8, 10.9 10k- 2.6, 4.4 5k- 1.4. Aid stations will be fully stocked with water, sports drink, gels, pretzels, candy, etc. Aid stations will be approximately 2-3 miles apart. Those needing water more frequently are encouraged to carry a water bottle or hydration pack.
