*BUS IS FULL, WAIT LIST IS OPEN*

Good Morning Everyone, ***DO NOT CLICK GOING UNTIL YOU HAVE READ AND PAID PLEASE***

A few things first before I get into the details of the trip. Some may sound, 'mean', but when time/money are involved I like to be thorough. If you are driving yourself, I'll create a separate post with details that you'll need for where to meet us and everything. I'm sure this will fill up rather quickly, so please purchase your seat early. Since the company charges us based on full capacity, refunds can only be given due to cancellation if there is someone on the wait list to take your spot. I will be keeping a waiting list and there's an order involved so please do not post on the page if you need to sell your ticket because that will be unfair to those that are listed as waiting. Also, I know things will come up between now and July 15th, but the sooner you let me know you are unable to make it, the sooner I can try to sell your spot. I've had people wait until the morning of to tell me that they won't be coming. This is an all day trip and can be taxing for some so please take that into consideration. You can def. sleep on the bus on the way there and back home. If you ride the bus down and find a ride back, please let myself, Stayce or Tracy know before you leave. If you bring ANYTHING on the bus, please make sure you take it with you when you arrive back in Oakland...this includes ALL trash. Violators to either of these items will not be allowed back on bus trips. I HATE policing adults but I also hate babysitting or cleaning up after adults as well, so please help us make the trips smooth for everyone involved. Hate to sound harsh but for some reason, there's always 1 or two that I need to say this to. Now, on to the details. The price will be $46, the reasons for the increase this year are noted in my first post about Yosemite two weeks ago in case anyone is wondering. You can PayPal me at [masked]. PLEASE select family/friends and not goods/service. I mention this every time, yet someone still does not follow the instructions. This ends up meaning I have to cover a cost for you, so your payment will be returned minus the fee Paypal charged and you will not have a seat reserved. Also, please list your first and last name in the notes area as some of your PayPal accounts do not indicate who you are as they're connected to your business name. If you are using Venmo or the Cash app, please also list your full name in the notes. There are 56 seats on the bus and please remember that members from our MeetUp group will be invited as well so they will go quickly. I haven't decided if I want to deal with two buses this year but I'll see how the waiting list looks and let everyone know by the end of the week. If all seats are taken and you'd like to be added to the waiting list, please let me know. I'll post how many seats are left throughout the day. Thank you!

Yosemite is a very busy park so in order to arrive early, we need to leave early. So the bus will be departing at 5 AM, which means we need to be at West Oakland BART by 4:30 AM so I can get everyone checked in and we can get everyone loaded on the bus in time. Again, every single trip we have someone pulling up at the last minute. I cannot hold the bus so please do not ask me to the morning of.... Someone always ask. Set three alarms and please be on time. The trail will be up to 7 miles depending on how much you want to complete. Like last year, we'll be catching the shuttle to the start of the hike. The first half is UP with about 1900' elevation if you choose to go to the top of the second waterfall. This is an up and back trail, so I'll let you choose how much you want to do. The top is accessed via the Mist trail. These two particular waterfalls flow year round unlike some in the park, and with the abundance of rain we received this year, they will still be flowing pretty heavily. However, because of the waterfalls, the nearby steps are sometimes slippery, so please wear shoes with good traction and take your time. Also, it will be 'misty' near the first waterfall so dress appropriately. There are restrooms located at the start, midway point and top of the trail.

Please remember shoes with good traction, a snack for the trail, water or a sports drink and your whistle (if you do not have one yet, please see me before the hike). I'll update temperature information as we get closer to takeoff so you'll know how to dress. Also, pack a lunch for yourself so that you can refuel afterwards. I'll have water and Gatorade as usual for after the hike.

If you are driving, please anticipate us arriving at the park by 9:30 am. Traffic once there can delay this as it's a very popular park. I'll post driving directions as we get closer to the departure date. You can also follow the bus if you like and catch a shuttle from the parking lot to near the trailhead. Remember the entrance fee if you are driving is $30.

If you have any questions, please ask away and I'll be sure to get back to you. Also please adjust your notifications for the event so that you can see what I post. Hope everyone has a great week and we'll see you soon.

PLEASE READ if you are driving.

For those of you who will be driving and/or following the bus (Please comment below so I can know how many will be driving and how many I need to look for once we arrive and plan for). Here's a picture of the meeting point where we would like to start. It's shuttle stop 16 (Happy Isle), just pass Half Dome Village, previously known as Curry Village. There's a parking lot at Half Dome Village and you can walk to the meeting spot. There's also a parking lot just before the shuttle stop but fills up quickly. You can also park on the side of the road (on the shoulder) for a ways before getting to the shuttle stop. There's also parking throughout if you need to find a better spot and need to catch the actual shuttle to where we'll be. I can't say for certain, but I anticipate the buses arriving around 9-9:30 and everyone getting to the shuttle stop by 10. So hopefully we can get started by 10:15 am. As most who have been on hikes with us can attest to, I do not say much other than the basics and need to know info before we start, so it'll be quick and we can get a group picture and begin our beautiful hike. I do suggest an early arrival though if you are driving just in case you need more time once in the park. If you arrive late, we'll be taking the Mist Trail to Vernal Falls and to Nevada Falls for those that want to and are able to continue on to the second one. Once you walk past the shuttle stop and over the short bridge, you will see a sign pointing to the right to reach the Mist Trail. Below are directions to reach the park and starting point of the hike from the East Bay. If you have any questions....about things that are not listed here, please ask away. Have a GREAT week everyone and we'll see you soon!

ALSO, if you can offer a ride to anyone, please let us know and what area you are in. There are still a number of people looking to carpool so it would be great if we could get them there too so they can enjoy this trip like the rest of us.
