It's time to cleanup the Guadalupe River above Canyon Lake with the Guadalupe River Association. Let's help take care of the river we love. Canoes are especially helpful when removing large items from the river.
The event will be headquartered at Bigfoot Canoes/Weidner campground. Those who wish, can camp at Weidner Campground on the river the night before and the night after. Our group will work on the section(s) needing additional volunteers. We all will gather back at Bigfoot at 3-4pm. There will be an after party at the campground, so it won't be all work. You must provide your own water, lunch, PFD, boat, sunscreen, hat, gloves, etc for the cleanup. Long sleeves, sturdy shoes, and even long pants will help protect you when removing trash from the river. Trash bags and pickers will be provided. Each person participates at his/her own risk. Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Please leave pets at home for this event. Normally, pets are encouraged, but the nature of this event just does not lend itself for our furry family. How to find us:Turn on to weidner road off FM 311, then veer left. Check in at the wood building, and you will be directed where to camp, or unload your boat.
