3,300 feet gain. 8.5 miles roundtrip. Fast-moderate pace: 2.5+ mph. Very difficult.

Best season to visit! Let's enjoy the mountain now that some of its green has gone red with early autumn color.

Please read everything in the invite and answer the question.

Are you willing to drive, if necessary?Type your answer in the pop-up box when you join the waiting list. Answer via private message or comment here if the box doesn't pop up.

Drivers preferred: I move passengers to "going" after enough hikers agree to drive or act as backup. Passengers, bring cash for your driver.See Good Carpooling Practices (The Mountaineers).

Plan to spend the day with us: Traffic, road and trail conditions, and other factors may preclude us from getting back by a certain time.

Requirements & restrictions: Everyone meetsat Northgate for ride assignments. On the trail we wait for others in our group at junctions, when unsure of the right direction, and hike together where route-finding is necessary. No dogs.

Dress for variable weather:Check forecast (NWS)</a>.

Bring your ownwater, sunscreen, bug spray, and other essentials, so you are not dependent on others.

Road & trail notes: Recent trip reports confirm road is rough but passable. Trail is in good condition.

Not a beginner hike: You alone are responsible for your safety.
