Here's the skinny:

Early Saturday morning on May 20th we drive to Little Wildhorse and Bell Canyon for an 8 mile slot canyon loop hike. This has been claimed to be Utah best slot canyon hike. We shall see about that.
After the hike we will go to Goblin Valley State Park - woot woot, made famous by some cub scout leaders.
Lodging is your responsibility for Saturday night. We might split rooms or find a Vacation Rental that sleeps a lot of people or camp out - this will be determined later.

Early on Sunday morning we will meetup for the Westwater River Trip! "The West's Best Short Whitewater Trip," as named by National Geographic magazine. Westwater Canyon is a spirited oar-powered and paddleboat trip* on the Colorado River. Guides expertly row through exciting waves and swirling pools dwarfed by stunningly beautiful and unique black, gold and red canyon walls. Rapids such as Funnel Falls, Skull Rapid and Sock-it-to-Me provide plenty of excitement while calmer waters on the first and last part of the river offer a nice balance to the perfect day trip.
*Note: Water levels through Westwater Canyon do fluctuate throughout the year, providing varying levels of whitewater intensity based on the time selected. Use of paddleboats may depend on water levels. We reserve the right to not use paddleboats at certain water levels. The river trip includes lunch.

The cost for the river trip is $200 DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS EVENT if you will not commit. Also I need at least 10 people to make this happen. The boat holds 12 but if there are less than 10 it is not worth it.

Once you sign up there are NO REFUNDS for any reason.

* UPDATE * I have rented a YURT in Moab. This will easily sleep all 10 of us and cost less than $10 each! They have showers and a kitchen available at the ACT Campground. If you do not want to stay in the Yurt that's fine but you must make your own reservations and do not be late for the boat. If you do stay in the YURT just being a sleeping bag and maybe an air mattress. ~ Good times ~
