No slow pace hikers

Dependent on weather and/or smoke conditions

Group size: 12, three carpool vehicles

NOTE: Thishike is NOT a beginner's hike or for "slow" pace hikers due to time restraints, distance of this hike,elevation gain, carpooling reasons, etc. The Event Host or group is not responsible to wait for those that can't keep up. The Event Host can not be in multiple places on the trail to make sure someone doesn't veer on/off the wrong trail because they were to slow

This is an all day event. Don't rsvp for this hike if you need to be back in the treasure valley at any specific time

NO DOGS on this particular hike due to carpooling reasons and limited trailhead parking

INTERMEDIATEHIKE only for steady pace hikers who are in good physical condition

9 miles roundtrip depending on how far you explore around/above the lake area. This hike will include a creek crossing, strenuous steep sections, scree section, scrambling over boulders section, etc

NOTE I got in 10.3 miles roundtrip last time, because I explored more of the area

ELEVATION GAINapprox. 1,954' to 2,511' depending if you explore above the lake

BRINGtrekking poles, plenty of water,snacks/lunch for on the trail, insect repellent, sunscreen, layered clothing, hat, handkerchief, etc

RESTROOM YES restroom facilities at trailhead

COSTS and DRIVE TIME 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive one way depending on traffic and how long the restroom break take. We all should share in the expense of gas and wear and tear and graciously give a minimum of 10.00/15.00 EACH to whoever is doing the driving of the carpooling

CARPOOL DRIVERS We need volunteers to drive and it's always nice to have a few extra drivers already fueled up and ready to go in case we need you to drive

OPTION after hike, grab something to eat before heading home
