During this hike you willlearntechniques for locating and harvesting15-20 different wild edible fungi,plants, treeleaves, buds &fruits. Some of these ediblesmay also have herbal uses. We will coveridentification, cultivation (forest farming) and ethical harvest for each of thesespecies. You will learnto prepare,preserveand store eachitem that we discuss. It is highly recommended that you bring a notebook as we will cover a great deal of information.You may also want to bring a hand lens, binoculars and perhaps a camerato photograph these ediblesyourself in their natural environment. Check the forecast and dress for the weather but certainly wear closed toed shoes and long pants. You may want to bring drinking water, insect repellent and/or sunscreen, an umbrella or poncho.
