To Waiting List:
1. Drivers with high clearance AWD SUV cars only: I move passengers to "going" after enough potential drivers sign up.

2. Be aware I dont host moderate and easy hikes. All my hikes must including scramble, obstacle, challenge and long switchback.

3. You are responsible for your own safety/require gear/required gear and the more prepared you are, the better the chance you will remain safe. Signing up for any S.O.A. organized event indicates that you have read, understand, and agree to the terms of this disclaimer and hold harmless all S.O.A. Organizers and Leaders in the event of injury or loss.

4. WARNING: no shows, last minute cancellations, bad attitude, late, no responds on meet up messages and you will no longer WELCOME to my hikes.

Gear: poles / hat / face shield / sun glasses / waterproof gears / gaiters / enough food & water / Waterproof hiking boots / snowshoes or Micro-spikes (base one the snow conditions)

Distance: 8 miles round-trip

Gain: 4640 ft.

Highest Point: 10,080 ft.

Pace: Fast (~1100 ft of elevation gain per hour)

Duration: ~4.5 hours ascent and ~ 3 hours descent

Parking Pass/Entry Fee: National Park Pass

Courtesy: riders, please bring extra a pair of shoes or 2 bags for your muddy boots.

Carpooling and fuel reimbursement: Riders please bring $15 cash/person to compensate your driver before head out.

Drive Distance: 2 hr 15 m from Mercer Island P&R (111mi)

Driving Directions
From the west, drive Highway 706 (National Park Highway) to the Nisqually Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. Follow Paradise Road East approximately 17.5 miles to Paradise.
From the east, take Highway 123 to Stevens Canyon Road (Note that this road is closed in the winter). 19 miles from the turnoff, turn right onto Paradise Road East. Continue two miles to the Paradise Visitors Center.
