Richmond Law is delighted to welcome Dean Erwin Chemerinsky on October 12. A nationally known constitutional law scholar, Dean Chemerinsky comes to us from the University of California Law School at Berkeley, where he became dean in 2017 after serving as the founding dean at the University of California Irvine School of Law. Dean Chemerinsky is the author of 10 books, including The Case Against the Supreme Court and Free Speech on Campus. In 2017, National Jurist magazine named him as the most influential person in legal education. His presentation will focus on the subject of free speech on campus and will include an opportunity for questions from the audience.
There is no cost to attend. Reception to follow.
Dean Chemerinsky will also join in a conversation with Dean Wendy Perdue on the topic of legal education at 12 p.m. in the Moot Courtroom. No registration for this event is required. All are welcome.
