Workplace Policies and Procedures are an important and often overlooked aspect of employment law. The legalization of Marijuana has driving a need for employer to impliment appropriate workplace policies and procedures to address the legal use of marijuana during work hours, but many employer do not have a workplace policy for alcohol use and other day-to-day issues.

This 1.5 hour lunch time seminar will explore the legal implications of the legalization of marijuana at work, discuss the requirements of employers to update policies and procedures to comply with the legislation, explore the need for employers to accommodate medical use and addiction and workplace drug-screening. The seminar will also explore other common issues that arise for employers in implementing standard workplace policies and procedures.

The seminar is free and lunch will be provided. Space is limited.
