EMPATHY from The Lab - Pilot Study
WHAT IS THE SOCIAL EXPERIMENT EMPATHY
EMPATHY is an experience designed to connect citizens to the human beings behind a social challenge that we face as a nation and as a community in Utah Homelessness.
This experiment is intended to see the homeless as people rather than problems. They are in fact, important subject-matter experts. We intend to discover their needs, lift their spirits, validate their life experiences, discover their passions and dreams, and give them a voice in the process which is to come in an experience designed around active listening and empathy.
Step one in any social challenge is to find out, while focusing on positive aspects of each person and idea collection, to connect and allow someone to feel heard.
WHO IS BEHIND THIS?
EMPATHY is the brainchild of Chase Hansen, an 8-year-old businessman and philanthropist and his Dad his Mentor and Sidekick. Chase created a nonprofit when he was 4. We called it The Lab, specifically designed to conduct creative social experiments, spearhead collaborations, and to deploy our ideas.
The Lab was the result of watching every superhero movie together for two years. After awhile, you start to believe the stories that normal every-day citizens can make a difference.
We want to be the change we wish to see in the world!
HOW, WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, HOW MUCH?
WHAT INSPIRED EMPATHY?
