TRIP DESCRIPTION:East End of Wendell is a relatively easy scramble behind Yamnuska.


Distance: 15 km return

Roundtrip Time: 6-8 hours est. + driving time

Height gain: About 1200 m

Driving directions:To get there we'll meet in the parking lot at Dalhousie Stn. From Hwy 1 westbound to the Seebe, 1X/1A exit. Drive east on 1A for 2 km to the gravel Yam parking area..

We will be going at a steady, moderate pace so please be realistic about your pace and abilities.

Participation: The trip organizer reserves the right to move people on and off the trip or wait list, or to increase or reduce the size of the group, in order to match people to the trip based on fairness, ability, safety, and other criteria.

Required Equipment:

Climbing helmet and gaiters and microspikes


Warm winter hiking boots

Headlamp (just in case!)

Water (something warm in a thermos is nice in winter)

Food

First aid kit

Warm wind and waterproofjacket/shell

Several fleece/warm layers

Warm hat

Gloves/Mitts

Transport:CORA trips start at the trail head. We meet at the meeting point in Calgary to make organizing trips easier and help ensure we know who's showing up. Please be on time. You may choose to meet us at the trail head, but please advise us ahead of time.
