WILD GOOSE QIGONG - Join us as we learn and practice whole body circular and spiral movements to release tension and stagnant energy and clear the way for fresh energy and renewal.
We will begin by exploring foundational movements and sequences from the Wild Goose Qigong system to help cultivate our Qi or life force energy while gently stretching, realigning and strengthening the body.
Using both standing and walking exercises, we will become more comfortable, integrated and fluid in our movements.
In the second half of the class, we will practice WILD GOOSE-1 (also know as 'The 1st 64'), the most well-known set in the Wild Goose system. With its wide variety of movements ranging from slow, fluid and gentle to quick and strong, this form suggests the image of a graceful soaring, flapping, fluttering and spiraling beautiful wild goose. Practicing Qigong has been shown to have many benefits including:
Initiating the relaxation response Boosting immune function Increasing circulation Reducing hypertension Promoting balance Strengthening muscle and bone Relieving pain Reducing stress Helping manage chronic conditions
Relax, reduce stress and feel more ease in your body as you practice these beautiful movements which also increase balance, strength and flexibility naturally.
No prior experience is necessary
