Courage for CaregiversOne-Day Retreat
If you are a professional or at-home caregiver, you know how challenging and exhausting it can be to support those with intensive or chronic care needs.
Caregivers need care too. Thats why the Henri Nouwen Society is pleased to present a one-day retreat designed for active caregivers in need of spiritual encouragement and community support.
Courage for the Caregiver addresses the needs of people in caregiving roles -- professional caregivers as well as those who find themselves faced with the "unchosen vocation" of caring for a chronically ill, aging, or incapacitated loved one.
Rooted in the wisdom of Henri Nouwen, this retreat will help caregivers identify both the challenges and the gifts of caregiving, while learning spiritual practices and techniques to sustain long-term self-care.
Led by Marjorie Thompson, ordained Minister, former student of Henri Nouwens, Board member of the Henri Nouwen Society
