Welcome to the 2018 Zen Evo Chocolate Lovers Valentine 5K. For 2018, 10 AM start time will be for all runners - All runners will be CHIP TIMED. Event benefits local ROTC programs & Ainsley's Angels. 2018 RACE CAP = 600 Total Participants - to make sure we have enough shirts, finisher bears, various chocolate dipped items, we are capping participants at 600 for 2018 - Please don't wait until the last minute to sign up to make sure you've got a spot for you & your sweetie!
Finisher & Award Bears - Finisher bears return for all & award bears await top overall & age group finishers.
Come out with you Valentine & hundreds of your friends on a chilly February morning to enjoy a brisk run, HOT CHOCOLATE & CHOCOLATE DIPPED STRAWBERRYS, GRAHAM CRACKERS & other items. The event will begin & end at Knoxville's Victor Ash Park starting at 10 AM Saturday, February 10th. Presenting sponsor of the race is ZEN EVO DARK CHOCOLATE & The Health Shoppe.. Special awards for Valentine Couples - run place, costume. Long sleeve GENDER SPECIFIC race shirts and special packet chocolates for all runners / walkers. (note: WOMEN'S CUT WILL RUN AT LEAST ONE SIZE SMALL - ORDER APPROPRIATELY) Post race enjoy the normal fruit, cookies but throw in CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES, GRAHAM CRACKERS, OREO'S and HOT CHOCOLATE!
Registration Fees: til 9/7 Ind = $20, Couple = $30 - 9/7 to 10/31 Ind = $20, Couple = $35 - 11/1 to 12/31 Ind = $25, Couple = $45 - 1/1 to 1/31 Ind = $30, Couple = $50 - 2/1 to 2/8 Ind = $35, Couple = $60 - Race Site = Ind $40 (only -not couples)
Couples - You will be entering as a GROUP - one group fee will be paid - enter each of 2 members at ZERO cost per member to make sure we get both names and shirt sizes of couple members
PACKET PICKUP: Thursday & Friday, Feb. 8 & 9 FROM 4 PM - 7 PM at The Health Shoppe in Suburban Plaza - Saturday, Feb. 10 - 8 AM - 9:45 AM at Victor Ashe Park.The 5K and walk will be out and back course with a loop through the Northwest Middle School at the far end of the course. Two aid stations will be available on the 5K course. Run will have a ROLLING WAVE START with faster runners near front - Waves as follows: Under 25 minutes at 10 AM; 25 to 35 minutes at 10:01 AM; 35 to 45 minutes at 10:02 AM & 45 minute plus at 9:03 AM - Please stay to RIGHT throughout course. Timing - Disposable bib tag timing will be used for all. PLEASE DO NOT BEND, CUT OR ALTER YOUR RACE NUMBER. Your timing chip will be on the back of your race number. Please wear YOUR race number LOW & on FRONT. Tags read better there.
LIVE RESULTS - On-line results available immediately after finish & also on display monitor at finish line. Make sure you sign up to get text &/or e-mail of you finish sent to you! Details on results link soon & also accessed via QR code on bib.

Donations of $5 enable spectators to enjoy HOT CHOCOLATE and other post event goodies.
Directions from downtown Knoxville: Take Western Avenue headed west; after approximately four miles, turn right onto Pleasant Ridge Road; go approximately three miles (before Northwest Middle School) and turn left onto Bradshaw Road; park is on immediate right.
Directions from I-40: From I-40, take the I-640 exit #385; take the Western Ave. West; head west on Western Ave; turn right onto Ballcamp Pk. at the Wendy's; turn right onto Bradshaw Rd; park will be on the left.
Directions from I-75: From I-75, take the Merchant Drive exit #108; head west on Merchant Dr; go to Merchant Dr. end; turn left onto Pleasant Ridge Rd; turn right onto Bradshaw Rd; park will be on the immediate right.
Endurance Sports Management has a NO REFUND policy. This is based on our pricing structure to provide 15% of GROSS REVENUES to our charity partners. Insurance is available during the registration of each event. Please take advantage of this option should you wish to insure your entry fees.
Event Cancellation / Modification Policy - If Natural Disaster or Community Disaster occurs, our action steps are as follows:
1. Endurance Sports Management in concert with local officials will make decisions based on safety first. 2. Courses and/or race segments will be altered as agreed to between Endurance Sports Management and local officials 3. Financial: It is not financially feasible for Endurance Sports Management to accept the risk of a disaster for everyone. Each registered participant needs to accept the risk of his or her entry fee. There will be NO REFUNDS or free entries to future races. The money you paid is spent developing the subject event. 4. Endurance Sports Management does not save any money if one of our events has to be canceled for reasons beyond our control. All supplies and services needed for the events are purchased and/or arranged in advance. All event supplies and services associated with that event must be paid for, regardless of the outcome.
Event Shirts - Event shirts are NOT guaranteed to participants registering within 2 weeks of each event. Please register prior to 2 weeks prior to guarantee your race shirt.
