This class covers basic information to prepare you for your childbirth experience and what to expect during your hospital stay. Topics include the changes the body goes through during labor, labor interventions, Baby Friendly practices, pain management options, introduction to breastfeeding, postpartum care, and newborn care with some hands on practice. A tour of the Family Birth Place will be provided at the end of class.

We recommend this class for mothers around 30 weeks gestation, and their support person.Light breakfast and refreshments are available.

This class is held at the Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, 3000 Medical Center Parkway in the Administrative Office Board Room, located across from the cafeteria, just past classrooms A & B.
