Thisis Hike #5 in the fourth annual Charleston Summer Series. Each Saturday hike is progressively harder in elevation gain and/or distance and is designed to prepare you for a successful attempt of Charleston Peak at the end of the series.

For those of you unfamiliar with hiking at higher elevations, I will be providing guidance on pace, breathing and preparations so each hike you attend in the series is enjoyable and educational.

This hike is all easy class 1 trail. But the up and back hike is 10 miles longwith 3,500' elevation gain and has a lot switchbacks.Trekking pole(s) are helpful but not needed. Be sure to bring a windbreaker, gloves and hat because it may be cold at the summit.
