July 10, 2017, Update - Dinkey Lakes Wilderness is not accessible from Cliff Lake or Willow Meadow. The trip location has been changed to Florence Lake in the John Muir Wilderness.

This event has been changed to Florence Lake. We will be taking the Ferry across Florence Lake. it is 4.69 miles from where the Ferry drops us off to the Campsites. There are multiple trees down. We will have 3 Wilderness Ranger Interns with us.

We will be removing trees from trails around the Muir Trail Ranch and we will go up Piute Canyon as far as we can get, as time allows.

We will meet at High Sierra at 7 am and caravan to Florence Lake Ferry. The Ferry leaves at 8:30 am.

This is one of the reasons Wilderness Corps was founded, to go in and cut the downed trees off a trail and make the trails easier and safer for the public.

We cannot provide this service if no volunteers sign-up. So please RSVP if you can come out and volunteer.

Dates are Finalized.
