CCEA Agreement Trial for Understanding Business Enterprise 2017

CCEA is offering a series of2017Agreement Trials to support teachers in marking controlled assessment/coursework. A senior moderator will be present at these events to demonstrate how the assessment criteria should be applied.

Attendance is strongly recommended for centres that had an adjustment to marks in the 2017 series and for teachers who will be marking coursework/controlled assessment for the first time.

Date & Venue:-

The Understanding Business Enterprise Agreement Trial will be held on 12th October 2017 at CCEA headquarters:

CCEA
29 Clarendon Road
Clarendon Dock
Belfast, BT1 3BG

Each specification will offer at least one Agreement Trial. However, some events planned may be cancelled due to low uptake. If an Agreement Trial is cancelled and you expressed a desire to attend, an alternative date or arrangement will be put in place to provide support. Those teachers who have registered to attend an Agreement Trial will be informed of the cancellation and the alternative options.

What the course will cover:

  • How to apply the marking criteria to candidates work

  • Table-marking of portfolios

  • Clarification on issues highlighted in the Principal Moderator report

  • Opportunity to speak to a CCEA senior moderator

How to book on to the course:

Places are available on a first come, first served basis. Registration for this event will open on 18th September 2017 at 08.30 and close 6th October 2017 at 17.00. Please click on the Register button on the right of this page.

In the event the Agreement Trial is cancelled, CCEA will inform only those who have communicated their intention to attend. It is therefore essential that you advise CCEA of your intention to attend. Teachers should refrain from attending any event for which they have not reserved a place, as in such circumstances we cannot guarantee a place or training materials.

Cost:

It is free to attend this event. Unfortunately, teacher release is not available for this course. However, mileage expenses to and from the Agreement Trial can be claimed (subject to CCEAs terms and conditions regarding travel claims). Catering will be available for attendees in the form of refreshments. A light lunch will be provided for full day events.
