General: Operation Bumpy Waters is a Meet Up designed to build on skills developed through formal open water instruction. The intent is to develop skill proficiency and confidence in a peer-led environment. Skills that are addressed include, but are not limited to trip planning and navigation, risk management, rescues, and leadership and group management. Some programs will be no cost and others will include instructor or insurance fees to participate. Peer-led events will require participants to research or lead tasks as part of the planning. Details and assignments are provided one week in advance of the event. Venues are subject to change based on conditions. We welcome participants with basic open water skills to mature and grow with the group collectively.
