Buck Gully is a small portion of open space between the early period coastal homes of Corona Del Mar and the newer upper developments of Newport Coast. The trail is about two miles long up the bottom of a coastal canyon. It is a steady climb the entire distance, nothing steep, but fairly consistent the entire way. This is a little bit of a workout hike without any exceptionally intense sections to manage. When we get to the top we'll catch our breath a few moments and head on back down... The top is nothing spectacular, just a turn around point.
After the hike, the Corona Del Mar tide pools are directly across PCH on Poppy street and are definitely worth your time to take a visit there as well.
