What we'll do
Congrats to everyone who ran the Surf City Half! We're changing meeting location to run a route we haven't explored during this training session. We are also changing the time to 7 AM to make sure the parking lot is open on Saturday. Here is a link to the route

We'll go east on Birch, cross at Valencia and take Rose drive past Imperial to Bastanchury. Left on Bastanchury to Village Center Road. Right on Village Center, Right on Yorba Linda Blvd. Left on Kellogg, down Bill's Hill, right on Mountain View, left on Grandview, go about a block and turn right on the trail, left on Lakeview over Imperial and then a sharp left on the trail and take the tunnel under Lakeview. Continue on El Cajon Trail (Impeachment Trail) past the Nixon Library, past the Yorba Linda Community Center (refill water here) cross Rose Drive to the end of the trail on Bastanchury. Left on Bastanchury to Valencia. Right on Valencia back to the Sports Park. Here is the schedule for the week:
Today - 5 miles + 35 min S&C
Wednesday - off (advanced 6-8 miles marathon pace)
Thursday - 5 miles + 35 min S&C
Friday - off
Saturday - 14 miles
Sunday - 3 miles easy pace

This run will have some longer hills in the beginning with a pretty flat second half. Practice your refueling and hydrating strategy. Eat something every 4-5 miles and drink fluids every 2 miles at least. You should need to refill at the Yorba Linda Community Center.
