Please join Emory's BLSA, Criminal Law Society, and Child, Family and Elder Law Society for a panel discussion on the School to Prison Pipeline. Learn about the disadvantages of our education system and the role of the law in overcoming those challenges. Highlighted topics include disciplinary measures, juvenile sentencing, and criminal justice reform. Panelists will be: Judge Vincent Crawford of the Dekalb County Juvenile Court, Randee Waldman, director of the Barton Juvenile Defender Clinic, Terrence Wilson, staff attorney for Georgia Appleseed Center for Law Justice, and Jason Esteves, member of Atlanta Board of Education. The moderator will be Prof. Kay Levine.

Reception: 5:30 to 6:00p.m.

Panel Discussion: 6:00 to 7:15p.m.


Doors will open at 5:15p.m. Please bring your phone for check-in. Hors d'ouevres will be provided. Business casual attire please.
