The hike is OFF trail, is 4 to 5 miles long and there is some scrambling and
a little route finding, but there is no dangerous exposure.

This rugged peak is located at the southern end of the Organ Mountains in southern New Mexico. It is a prominent landmark along I-10 between Las Cruces, NM and El Paso, TX. Bishop Cap is composed primarily of limestone and other sedimentary rocks and there are exposed cliff bands that nearly encircle the peak.

If you are coming from El Paso, meet the group at Sierra Vista trail Mesquite parking lot. Go to Mesquite exit off of I-10 and head east 4 1/2 miles to the Sierra Vista Trail access point.

Considering about the terrain, it's a hard hike. Experienced hikers only.

The hike will take about 6 or 7 hours.
