Orlando Wetlands is a property, developed by the City of Orlando, as wetland impounds, for the purpose of reclaiming water from their sewer treatment system. The place is absolutely beautiful and has become the home and stopover of large numbers of birds species. River Otters, Deer, Bobcats, Raccoons and Alligators reside here, as well.

Meeting: For carpool/caravan, please meet us at the northeast corner of the DeLand Post Office parking lot, 336 East New York Avenue. Arrive in sufficient time for us to get on the road by 8:00 AM. If you will be driving directly to Orlando Wetlands Park, expect to meet us there, a little after 9:00 AM.

This field trip is intended to last until early afternoon. However, participants are free to leave earlier, as they wish.

Recommended Supplies, as you are able: 1. Binoculars 2. Camera 3. Scope 4. Birding Field Guide
5. Hat 6. Sunscreen 7. Mosquito Repellant 8. Drinks and Food
9. Bring small $ bills, to help cover carpool gasoline.

If you expect to join us, please let me know. Otherwise, just show up. Let's make a good showing for some great birding and nature.
