Endorsed by Curators:
What we'll do
Come out and show the park some lovin'
For those who are new to Social Stewards in August 2016 we adopted this section of Bidwell Park. We are removing trash and invasive plants, opening up the area to be more inviting to guests of the park, and maintaining the health of the shore. Be ready to do some hands-on, tending to nature. This shaded area needs both light and rigorous restoration, fitting any volunteer. Invite your friends!
Remember to bring water and clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Tools and gloves will be provided.
The adopted section is site #2 which is a 1/4 mile north-east of the highway 99 overpass on the same side of the creek as the Nature Center. There is public parking at 1492 East 8th street with a bike path that leads directly to the site. (see comment section for map)
