VU PHL has the unique opportunity to partner with Bartram's Garden and other non-profits all while getting a jump start on the hot August day by starting a bit earlier!

Bartrams Garden is a 45-acre National Historic Landmark, operated by the John Bartram Association in cooperation with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation. The John Bartram Associations mission is to protect and enhance the landmark Bartrams Garden and House; advance the Bartram legacy of discovery, gardening, and art; and inspire audiences of all ages to care for the natural world through use ofoutdoor classrooms, living laboratories, and membership programs.

VU PHL will work with Bartram's Garden staff on seasonal outdoor activities like weeding, planting, harvesting, cleaning, pruning, and light maintenance.

Because we're starting earlier, we're finishing earlier - so we're headed to the afterjawn earlier! Follow us to Dock Street Brewery at 12for some cold drinks and great food after a hot morning of working at Bartram's Garden.
