Two concerts in one! Benjamin Butterfield and pianist Joachim Segger will open the evening with an intimate collection of art songs and selected arias. Then the second half of the program will utilize the massed sound of Kappella Kyrie Slavic Chamber Choir, and the profound solo voices of Benjamin Butterfield, Elizabeth Raycroft and Jihwan Cho to explore works of greater scale and intensity!

Having performed with all the major orchestras and opera companies in Canada, Butterfield is a familiar figure in the North Amercian Vocal seen. His recordings can be heard regularly on CBC Radio and he has even been featured on This is my Music. With an international career of over 30 years, his performance credits include visits to Carnegie hall, Lincon Center, the Hollywood Bowl with the LA Philharmonic, Le Capitole in Toulouse, the Royal Court Opera in the Palace of Versailles, and Kings College Chapel Cambridge, for the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

Closer to home -- Butterfield has worked with our very own Dr. Melanine Turgeon on the Ukrainian Art Song Project as well as been a faculty member at Opera Nuova Edmonton. He currently serves as the head of the voice program at the University of Victoria.

Tickets: $20. General, $15. Student/Senior
