This class covers a format similar to the outline below in one day:

9:00-10:30a Anatomy of pregnancy, how labor works, stages of labor, when to go to the hospital, birth plan, & going 40 weeks

10:30-10:40a Break

10:40a-12:15p Positions for labor, breathing techniques, counter pressures, massage, use of birth ball, laboring at home

12:15-1:00pm LUNCH

1:00-2:30p Induction of labor, interventions of labor, epidural, medical pain management, and cesarean delivery

2:30-2:40p Break

2:40-4:00p Getting started with baby, will I breastfeed, skin to skin, normal newborn behavior, & caring for mom after delivery

4:00-4:30p Evaluations & Certificates
