Endorsed by Curators:
It looks like next Saturday will be not-rain, probably. So let's be adventurous and visit Lighthouse Park.
We'll take a walk thru the forest to make treescapes, find curious critters and flying fluffs. We'll explore the shoreline to make landscapes, seascapes and cloudscapes. And you can go to the various lookout points and the points around the lighthouse. Get park map here:https://westvancouver.ca/parks-recreation/walking-hiking/lighthouse-park-trails. (https://westvancouver.ca/parks-recreation/walking-hiking/lighthouse-park-trails)
To help your photography and have an easy going experience, you can bring: tripod; remote controls; ND or GND or colour filters; layers for wind or rain; good footwear for rocky, slippery or cold conditions; cougar/bear bell or learn to yodel; and water.
By car: Google directions to location above. By bus: take the #250 from Downtown Vancouver; the stop for the park is at Beacon Lane. Then a short walk to the parking lot.
We'll meet at the park entrance at 09:30, make introductions, talk trails and safety, and then cut loose to explore. There is not set route this event.
We'll end the event at 12:30 back at the parking lot to say our see-ya-laters. Then we'll figure who wants to find civilization and a drink to share photos and conversations.
Our aim is to have fun and share with other photographers. Attendance size is small, so it's important to be mindful of your participation. Please be courteous to your fellow members waiting to join the event by changing your RSVP to "No" when your plans change.
Continue sharing by posting up to 8 photos in the event album, making comments, asking questions and giving critical appraisal. Please read our guidelines about attendance and posting photos here: meetup.com/Van-City-Free-Capture-Photography/about/ (https://www.meetup.com/Van-City-Free-Capture-Photography/about/) .
