The Advanced Grant Writing Workshop will enhance your grant proposal writing skills so that you will be able to write more competitively. In this workshop, you will learn how to tackle various letter and proposal formats, create a professional purpose statement, and find soliddata and statistics to support your project.You will learn different techniques to sharpen your grammar, composition, proofreading and editing skills. You will become proficient with the proposal format used by most government and private foundations. Previous writing experience or knowledge of basic grant proposal writing are recommended prerequisites for this course. Participants will actively engage in exercises designed to strengthen their mastery of writing proposalsthat get funded. Participants will receive two fully funded grant proposals.

Each participant will receive a grant funding opportunity catered to their area of interest to draft in class in preparation for submission to the funder.

Beginning and experienced grant writers from city, county and state agencies as well as nonprofits, K-12, colleges, and universities are encouraged to attend.
