Apr 14 6:30AM - 5:30PM

We will meet at park and ride, form carpools, and leave for the trailhead at 6:30 AM.Not mandatory, but AWD/4WD vehicles will work the best.Everyone agree on a gas expense ,before getting into any vehicle.

This hike will be strenuous, and youMUST keep up,with the group,or choose another hike.We will not have a fast pace, but it will be strenuous. We willhave asix hour hike,73/4mile loop and 1,770'ascent.BRING ENOUGH WATER,to last over six hours. If you are drinking one bottle every hour, then bring more than six bottles.I ,strongly suggest,Gatorade and energy bars, for this hike.
We will be boulder scrambling, climbinginto wind caves, and going through a pretty ruggedslot canyon. We will be climbing and sliding down rocks, brushing against cactus(bring tweezers),and using our hands.Long pants and gloves, are recommended. We will see and climb into multiple wind caves, visit a tall, dry, waterfall, with a natural bridge across it,go through a slot canyon, with huge holes,in the floor, that you have to straddle or walk along the very edge to get by.We will stop at a huge fossil field where there are hundreds of fossilized snails, clams, sandollars, and scallops.

There will be no drinking water or bathrooms ,near the hike.We will exit INT 8,at HWY S2(exit 89),turn right, and stop at the Chevron station,to use the bathroom. If you do,then purchase something from the store. Then we drive through Ocotillo, for 7 miles,on HWY S2,and turn right, for the sandy road drive,to the trailhead.
